Apple looking to 2-in-1 tablet market?

Rumours that Apple Inc. is asking for prototypes for 13-inch touchscreens has industry followers wondering if Apple intends to cop a page from the Microsoft Windows 8 book and produce bigger tablets with notebook-like features.

Apple CEO Tim Cook has bluntly denied going to the larger form factor in the past.
 
A 13-inch iPad would have a use case more like a notebook, using it in an environment where you’re sitting a lot, than that of a tablet, Carolina Milanesi of Gartner told Network World, and it would only make sense as a detachable, since glass that big would need anchoring.
