Background
Provincial governments in Atlantic Canada, like other jurisdictions, face challenges to improve service delivery to clients while maintaining and even reducing costs. Atlantic Canada On-Line (ACOL) is a response to those challenges. ACOL is an electronic information service designed, developed and managed by Unisys Canada Inc. in partnership with the four Atlantic provinces. It provides the technology infrastructure and electronic business services to enable provincial government clients in the Atlantic Region and across Canada to electronically access information databases from their place of business and quickly retrieve, register, search and update information for critical decisions or to comply with legislative requirements.
