NCR Corporation and Dallas, Tex.-based 7-Eleven Inc. announced in July a three-year commitment by 7-Eleven to add NCR-produced Web-enabled Vcom kiosks to 1,000 U.S. stores later this year as part of a new business the retailer calls “a virtual store within a store.” NCR will manufacture the kiosks at its Waterloo, Ont. facility and will also install and maintain the units.
