Coding Dojo unveils 10 Top Programming Languages to Learn in 2023

Coding Dojo, a tech training provider, has revealed the top ten development languages that employers are looking for in job candidates.

Python, SQL, Java, JavaScript, C, C++, Go, C#, Assembly, and MATLAB are the top ten programming languages for 2023, as well as the number of open full-time jobs from top to bottom on Coding Dojo’s list for 2022.

“We determine this list by reviewing Indeed and LinkedIn. We use this list to find out the number of job listings that include each of the top 20 languages listed. The 10 with the most job listings get included in the roundup,” says Coding Dojo.

Python, SQL, and Java are the top three languages, with over 50,000 job openings each. Given the recent turmoil in the tech sector, that’s not bad. Python developers are in high demand from a wide range of employers, including government agencies, financial institutions, and technology firms. Python is also used by specialized developers as well as nontechnical professionals such as accountants and business analysts.

While Java remains one of the most popular programming languages in the world, it ranks third on Coding Dojo’s list. Java is an object-oriented language that is free to use. It is commonly used in application and web development and can be found on the back end of major websites such as Google, YouTube, and Amazon.
