Given the upheaval in IT over the last few years, you have to applaud anyone who's willing to put the profession in a positive light.
I was a little disappointed by this clip, though, and not simply because of its amateurish production values. Kamil insists IT is a sector with a future, but focuses more on career mobility and pay rather than the fulfillment that can come from solving business problems and empowering people to communcate, collaborate or make better decisions. That's the biggest benefit I see in an IT career — one that will help you ride out the economic doldrums and office politics.
On another note, this was a bad week for blogging with my recent travel schedule, and I'm looking forward to getting back to my regular pace next week.
