Cellular News has reported that the wireless spectrum auction has exceeded the $1.5 billion originally expected and now exceeds the $2 billion dollar mark.
Interestingly is that Shaw appears to be making headway in establishing a Western footprint giving hope that we might see a new entrant in the wireless arena.
Unfortunately the Toronto market is getting a lot of attention from Bragg Communications who appears to be trying to prevent a new player from actually being able to compete in that market without sinking a ton of money into the auction.
