By: IT News BlogMark Goldberg is reporting that AOL has released a plug-in service that allows people to detect the physical location of someone sending an instant message from their buddy lists. He also has a link to an Economist article about using mobile phone data to visualize locations of people. Interesting idea, although it does raise some questions about privacy in the digital age.
