Today may not have gotten better for Bell, but its marketing has

Canada’s largest incumbent revealed with great fanfare (does anyone do anything with poor fanfare?) its latest corporate slogan, which will replace the dispised animated beavers Frank and Gordon from its branding activities.

“Today just got better” will be tied into campaigns that focus on other positive words such as “faster,” and “easier,” but Shark Tales found the slogan works equally well when paired with some recent Bell media coverage:

Bell to charge subproviders for bandwidth: Today just got better.

Bell Canada puts the squeeze on ISPs for usage-based billing: Today just got better.

Hundreds of Bell customers left without Internet on Tuesday: Today just got better.

And, our personal favourite:

Bell to cut 2,500 management jobs: Today just got better.
