I can't think of too many IT managers who would ever become — or even aspire to become — a deputy minister within a provincial government, but that's what happened with Ron McKerlie.We first interviewed Ron when he became Ontario's CIO about three years ago and his stature in the industry has grown ever since. In this clip he offers a preview of Showcase Ontario, a multi-day event IT World Canada is proud to produce and which will be held here in Toronto in about two weeks. Watch how fluid he is in terms of delivery, and his way of sounding proud and enthused about the event without overselling it or sounding phony. Pretty impressive.
