Ted Rogers “stabilized”

Rogers Communications Inc. has announced CEO Ted Rogers’ health has “stabilized.”

He was admitted to Toronto General Hospital last week for treatment of a cardiac condition.

The company did not release further details for privacy reasons.

Rogers, 75, started the company that bears his name in 1960, though his father, who founded radio station CFRB and Astral Media, is widely regarded as the founder.

Alan Horn is acting CEO while Rogers is in hospital.

Ted Rogers also owns the Toronto Blue Jays.
