Surf’s Up!

So this morning after many months of begging and pleading with Google, I got the long awaited email saying I'm invited to Google Wave!  I rushed to login, finally getting to see for myself all the amazing features I've seen videos of over the past months but…. I can't figure out what I can do with this thing.

Surfs Up

Thus far all I've figured out is I can login, there are “waves” which are nothing more than individual conversations about things.  And I now have an @googlewave.com address.  I don't want to calll it an email address because that's not what it is per se, but let's face it, that's what it is… right?  I'm sure once I sit through the over an hour long video Google has created on how to use Google Wave I'll have a better understanding and appreciation for Wave, but as it stands right now, I'm staring at a blank screen.  I did manage to add an old friend of mine as a contact.  I do wish it by default merged with my existing email account, or at least gave me the option to do so.  I know that Wave isn't email… but look at it, it is email!

So begins my journey riding the wave, I'll post more as I figure out more over the coming days and weeks.Wish me luck.

Bon Voyage!
