I am revising/rewriting “Cascade” over the next few months, and I would like to use an old publishing technique in a new way: serialization. I will post about a page of content here on a regular basis, aiming for it be each weekday.
(See the first edition here: http://www.amazon.com/Cascade-David-Wright/dp/1435718534/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1302542213&sr=1-1 )
What I am looking for in doing this is what blogs do best; get reader comments and feedback. I plan to incorporate the feedback into the new edition, and also want to hear any experiences (war stories) that readers may have related to the posts. The first edition of Cascade was essentially all me, based on my experiences and thoughts. I would love to have the second edition feature other people's experiences and thoughts, including those who may disagree with me; I am thinking of having sections in the book for that kind of feedback. All of this, of course, will be correctly attributed to the people who provide them.
I also want to come with a snappier sub-title. A lot of IT/business books have sub-titles that actually annoy me, but I have been told that good ones help promote a book, so I need one. All suggestions welcome.
Look forward to hearing from you.
