.NET Framework 3.5 Service Pack 1, Visual Studio 2008 SP1 get RTM

Microsoft announced today the RTM of the .NET Framework 3.5 Service Pack 1 and Visual Studio 2008 SP1.

New features include the .NET Framework Client Profile, which aims to speed up Windows-based deployments, ASP.NET improvements, enhanced support for ADO.NET Entity Framework and ADO.NET Data Services, and better SQL Server 2008 integration.

As for Visual Studio, the press release stated that the new additions “extendthe developer-focused innovations in SQL Server 2008, making thedevelopment of occasionally connected applications and spatialapplications easier and offering developers additional controls forincorporating business intelligence into applications.”
