The folks at Maximum PC are always looking at interesting ways to increase computer power on a budget but this time they have truly outdone themselves.  In the pursuit of something along the lines of Microsoft’s Surface computing offering, priced in the $12,000 range, they got together and created a do-it-yourself Multitouch Surface Computer for a few hundred dollars.  Granted, this is not the easiest diy project out there, but considering the cost difference the results are absolutely stunning.
