Lotusphere yields IBM LotusLive

Coming out of IBM's Lotusphere conference this week was the announcement of IBM LotusLive, a “cloud-based portfolio of social networking and collaboration services designed for business.”

The portal will lead to all of the IBM lotus online collaboration tools, like social networking, e-mail, file-sharing, and Web conferencing.

LotusLive will also be integrated with Salesforce.com's CRM apps, while Skype will be pairing up with IBM to integrate its voice and video service with LotusLive as well.

Also announced was a partnership with LinkedIn that will integrate LinkedIn functionality with IBM Lotus Notes, IBM Lotus Connections, and LotusLive.

New IBM “advanced social software” will also be making its way to the BlackBerry soon, too.
