Canadians will be the first users in North America to get access to Taiwan-based HTC Corp.’s Touch Diamond, a smartphone that synchronizes e-mail, calendar and contacts with personal e-mails.
Supported by the Windows Mobile 6.1 platform and Office Mobile, the smartphone also allows users, via a touch interface, to open and edit Microsoft Office attachments, browse the Web, and listen to music. Additionally, it takes high-resolution pictures with a 2.8-inch VGA display 3.2 megapixel camera.
HTC Touch Diamond will be available Aug. 14.
