WhileCanadian IT spending is projected to grow by just three per cent thisyear, spending should increase to seven per cent in 2009, according toa Forrester Research report.

 

“TheCanadian IT market has been a challenging one for vendors for the pastyear or so, but there are prospects for improvement,” Andrew Bartels,analyst and vice-president at Forrester Research, said in a release.“It now looks like the US economy will be heading down in late 2008 andearly 2009, while the Canadian economy should start to recover.”

 

Forresteralso revised its IT spending projections for the U.S., setting growthat 5.4 per cent in 2008 and 6.1 per cent in 2009.
