EMC Corp. is shipping the Celerra NX4, which supports up to 60Terabytes of storage in the form of SATA disk drives and is targeted atsmall to mid-sized businesses.

The product includes virtualized storage, with the SnapSure dataprotection software, which allows for read-only and read-writablelogical point-in-time copies of data.
EMC says it can be used with network-attached storage iSCSI and Fiber Channel storage-area networks.

The Celerra NX4 works on Windows, Linux and Unix, plus VMWare’s ESXServer. It also works with applications like Microsoft Exchange, SQLServer, Oracle, WMWare Virtual Desktop Infrastructure and VMWare SiteRecovery Manager.

It lets administrators tier storage, taking into account availability, cost and energy efficiency.
