IT management software vendor CA announced Monday at the SHAREConference and Trade Show in San Jose several enhancements to itsmainframe management software for the z/OS, z/VSE, and z/VM platforms.
The offerings are either available, or scheduled for short-termrelease. These include CA SymDump Batch r8 (which will integrate withCA Endevor Software Change Manager), CA Spool r11.5 (which will includeIPv6 support and new remote printing support drivers), CA DatabaseManagement r11.5 SP2 for DB2® for z/OS (which will help IT managerstake control of their DB2 for z/OS), CA Datacom r11 SP4 (which willenable replication of data in near-real-time), CA Endevor SCM r12SP1(which boasts a simpler installation process), and CA ACF2 r12 andCA Top Secret r12 SP2 (which have boosted security features).
CA Dynam for z/VSE 7.1 will also simplify its tape data setprocessing standards, while CA VM:Secure r2.8 SP1 and CA VM:Directorr2.8 SP1 will have IBM Director integration.
