Seattle Post Intelligencer's Todd Bishop analyzes the real story behind Microsoft's Vista sales claim. Microsoft Watch blogger Joe Wilcox says the figures just don't add up.Microsoft claims that Vista sales in the first month following its Jan. 30th launch exceeded Windows XP sales during the first two months after the XP release. But given that the PC market has nearly doubled since the launch of XP, the Vista figures hardly support the Redmond giant's claim of astounding Vista success.
