Blogging Idol role models: Mark Evans

When I started thinking about great examples of Canadian blogging talent that could inspire our Blogging Idol contestants, Mark Evans was the first name that came to mind.

I admired Mark's work for years as a reporter when he worked at the Globe and Mail and later, the National Post. I've also enjoyed watching him take a series of entrepraneurial leaps — first to a dot-com startup, Blanketware Corp., to B5 Media and PlanetEye before starting his own social media consultancy last year. He's as prolific as ever — managing four blogs at a time while also helping run the annual Mesh conference in Toronto. Here, he talks about the things I think are most challenging for our contestants: staying consistent, coming up with ideas, and balancing your social media priorities. Runs just under 5 minutes. Enjoy.
