Sprint Canada launches business DSL

Sprint Canada Inc. has launched its Business Internet DSL (digital subscriber line) services claiming to be the first out of the gate.

Sprint said the Business Internet DSL is available in Toronto, Vancouver, Montreal and

Calgary, and service provides speeds of up to 1.5 megabits per second each way, versus typical ADSL services that offer high download speeds but lower upload performance.

The company said the services are designed for companies that frequently transfer large files over the public Internet, or use sophisticated multimedia applications.

Greg McCamus, president of Sprint Canada’s enterprise communications solutions, said the company’s new service would meet the growing demand of businesses for high-speed Internet services, with a differentiated choice over traditional telecom-operated DSL.
