Software protects hard disk data

Encryption Plus Hard Disk from PC Guardian is said to securely guard every byte of information on a computer’s hard disk by using the fast, never-been-broken Blowfish algorithm and a 192-bit encryption key.

Company president Noah Groth notes that often, the computer user is the ‘weak link’ in any security implementation. He says a security policy is weakened as soon as the decision to protect information is left to the discretion of the individual. This product, he continues, automates the decision-making process by protecting everything so users need never worry about which file should or should not be protected, and administrators are assured that their security policies are being enforced.

In addition to data protection, Encryption Plus Hard Disk provides administrators with numerous tools to simplify and speed up installation, recover lost passwords, and increase control over the strength and expiration of users’ passwords.

The software is intended for computers running Microsoft Windows.
