Putting Calgary on the Map

Installing GIS across the whole enterprise “is not for the meek,” says Audrey Stamm, Computing Support Analyst, Assessment Services Division with the City of Calgary’s

Assessment Department, who helps users figure out how to make the most of GIS capabilities. It is common for cities to use it for niche applications such as the police service or garbage collection, but Stamm says other than Calgary, only Cincinnati, Honolulu and Philadelphia have installed GIS for all city services.
