Network Associates intros defence against viruses

The battle against advanced worms and viruses such as Code Red and SirCam is shaping up to be a never ending saga. According to data collected by Carlsbad, Calif.-based research group Computer Economics, the global impact on business from the Code Red worm, factoring in system checking, monitoring, and loss of productivity, is expected to clock in approximated US$1.2 billion worldwide.
