Montreal-based Elyps Dispatch Solutions, a mobile radio service and network provider, launched two new LT radio communications networks for its Quebec and Ontario customers on March 1.

The Konquest network uses the LTR Trunking Protocol. It operates in the 400 MHz band in Quebec covering approximately 55,000 square kilometres, except in the greater Montreal area, where it operates in the 800 MHz band cover about 15,000 square kilometres. In Ontario, it also operates in the 800 MHz band with approximately 32,000 square kilometres of coverage. According to Elyps, Konquest LTR networks offer wide-area portable and mobile coverage, instant access and flexible call configurations for groups and individuals.
