About Mobile Applications

Mobile applications are a burgeoning class of applications designed for handheld devices such as cell phones, smart phones and tablets. The applications may be pre-installed on the device during manufacture -- such as telephony and messaging services -- or downloaded by the user from a growing range of ‘app stores’. These offer advanced applications for music, video, business and personal productivity developed for mobile platforms such as iOS, Android, Symbian, Blackberry and Windows Mobile.
