A new Web-based application will allow HR professionals to get access to real-time and historical hiring information from Wanted Technologies’ massive job ad database. Find out what the tool does and who it’s targeted at

Nigel Wallis, a research director of application solutions at IDC Canada Ltd., said the business intelligence and analytics space has been exploding with new tools across the Canadian business landscape over the last couple years. He said that executives are particularly interested in Web-based dashboards that give them access to real-time data.

“The real issue going forward is how these tools are embedded into other business processes,” Wallis said. For companies like Wanted, it will mean competing with IBM Corp.’s Cognos and SAP’s BusinessObjects brands, he said.

Murray said Wanted has been working with smaller BI and business process management vendors to try to integrate its app into enterprise software. He said the company will continue to look for partnerships with BI vendors to bring the app to as many customers as possible.

The Wanted Analytics App is offered on a per seat subscription basis at the cost of about US$100 a month.
