A new Web-based application will allow HR professionals to get access to real-time and historical hiring information from Wanted Technologies’ massive job ad database. Find out what the tool does and who it’s targeted at

Wanted Technologies Corp. has officially launched a new cloud-based application aimed at giving human resources managers the latest hiring trends.

The company, which operates out of both New York and Quebec City, considers itself to be a data aggregation and analysis company. Over the last several years, Wanted has accumulated roughly 500 million job ads posted in the United States and Canada in an effort to give hiring managers a complete sense of the employment market.

“If you’re trying to hire someone, you’ll know who you’re competing with for that worker,” said Wanted CEO Bruce Murphy, in reference to the Wanted Analytics App. “We know who’s hiring for specific jobs and we know the skills and compensation that those employers are offering.”

The application breaks data up into specific cities or regions and can give hiring managers insight into which companies are the top job advertisers and what Web sites they most frequently use to post their job ads. Users will also be able to get a clear view of how difficult it will be to find a candidate in their desired field and how much they’ll be expected to pay them.

Murray said the staffing and HR industry has been long overdue for a “technology evolution” and the Wanted app is just the kind of tool that can help usher in this new era.

“About 15 years ago, everything was on paper,” he said. “Now, we’ve automated all the processes that are associated with making a candidate an offer, bringing them on board, promoting them, or terminating them.”

But for Murray, the process leading up to these steps has not been evolved in the same manner. In developing the tool, Wanted looked to create a Web-based tool that can complement an enterprise’s existing SAP AG or Oracle Inc. software suite and play a significant role in simplifying the candidate search.

In addition to HR professionals, other potential use cases can be found for public relations professionals, marketing firms, and a variety of government agencies, according to Wanted.
