Voice over LTE is taking off--slowly

IT WORLD CANADA: When it comes to LTE, voice is on the agenda but less of a priority than mobile broadband
Voice over Long-Term Evolution (or
VoLTE
) is an emerging technology that simply isn't growing very fast. The reasons are simple: It doesn't offer much that current technology can't deliver. The main benefit of VoLTE seems to be high-definition audio, but the demand (and accompanying technology) for it are somewhat lacking.
