Customers of VMware ESX Server can better manage the increasingly complex software license process with support from ManageSoft Corp.’s Enterprise Compliance Manager

Boston, Mass.-based enterprise software management vendor ManageSoft Corp. announced Wednesday its Enterprise Compliance Manager software will support VMware ESX Server.

The support is meant to alleviate software licensing concerns for customers who employ application and server virtualization.

The announcement is relevant given vendor’s application licensing rules have become increasingly complex, particularly in light of issues like how and when software is purchased, upgrades/downgrades, right of second use, and the variety of operating systems in use by companies.
