A set of standard ready-to-run reports provide metrics on production day status, job history, user activity, as well as audit reports for change management and compliance initiatives

Application scheduling and performance management firm Tidal Software launched a product the company said would provide better insight into setting priorities for enterprise IT departments.

Intelligent Reporter for Enterprise Scheduler works by aggregating all the scheduler's metrics into a data warehouse for operational intelligence, according to Tidal Software. A set of standard ready-to-run reports provide metrics on production day status, job history, user activity, as well as audit reports for change management and compliance initiatives. Tidal said these reports can be customized or new reports created on the fly to accommodate the differing needs of both IT and business users. Report generation and delivery can also be automated.

Intelligent Reporting features the ability to access and view reports online via a browser, in print via PDF, or downloaded into a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet or Word document. Users, roles, and the report repository are designed to allow for fine grain authorization, segregating specific reports and views according to business units, applications, and management levels, Tidal added. An ad hoc report editor allows users to modify and customize graphical and tabular reports for quick access and analysis of the data without involving a reporting expert. Pricing for Intelligent Reporting for Enterprise Scheduler was not released.
