IT WORLD CANADA CURATED Screen resolution on touch device will be higher than Apple's Retina display

Facing mounting anxiety among the public, developers and in the financial markets, Research in Motion Ltd. has steadily been releasing a trickle of information about its new BB10 devices. Whether this will be enough to tide them over until the official release date is a burning question, but in fairness, the information they have released does sound intriguing.

For example, RIM told the Wall Street Journal this week that there would be a total of six BB10-equipped devices, including keyboard and touch-screen models. Now, RIM has revealed that these devices will have resolutions of 1280x720 (16:9) and 720x720, respectively. The touch-screen model will have a leg up on Apple's Retina display, TechVibes notes.
