IT WORLD CANADA CURATED Developers on non-Windows platforms have waited months for JavaFX to support their systems

For the first time, Oracle is releasing a Java Runtime Edition for Mac OSX systems; with the new Java SE 7 Update 6, the company has added security features and will send updates for both Windows and Apple systems simultaneously. Oracle also released two versions for ARM processors, as well as as a new version of JavaFX 2.2.
