Interfacing Technologies Corp. adds BI to its business process management suite so executives can get an integrated view of processes, knowledge, people and apps

Interfacing Technologies Corp.’s business process management suite will get a dose of business intelligence from IBM Cognos.

The Montréal-based vendor will integrate its Enterprise Process Center with IBM Cognos Business Intelligence to render the EPC Performance Module. End users will benefit from a central portal with a business intelligence component in addition to process, document, and risk.

While the EPC Performance Module already supports a range of third-party reporting tools, the partnership with IBM Cognos means a “deeper level of integration”, the company said.

"The intelligence in BI lies with the ability to extract and display valuable information. This is crucial to efficient management of company processes, ensuring transparency and ownership throughout all levels of the organization," said Meir Levi, Interfacing's CEO.

Ted Jandl, vice-president of Cognos’ OEM partner channels thinks Interfacing is taking a unique integrated approach in the business process management arena to managing processes, knowledge, people and applications. "Executives will now gain a powerful perspective on their company, letting them understand what is happening, why, and what corrective actions must be taken to help the organization succeed," said Jandl.

Interfacing said it chose technology from the Ottawa-based BI vendor for its ease of use for non-technical business users and “advanced architecture”.
