Leveraging HTML's fieldset element

For a change of pace we're going to throw a class in HTML coding at you. Polish your keyboard for a lesson in torquing fill-in fields

I've always admired people who know how to wield HTML like a knife. Early in my career I learned a little, but automation and templates have saved me -- not from learning but from making a fool of myself.
 
But for those of you who still code by hand and worry that the fill-in form elements of your Web pages are looking a bit dated, we're going to throw a little HTML programming at you.
 
Ryan Boudreaux at Tech Republic has come up with a makeover for fieldset styles including how to change a border, a border radius, background gradient, padding, display block, define several fonts, and add styles for the legend.
 
 
 
 
 The World Wide Web Consortium (W3C), which oversees the HTML standard, has been holding its annual meeting this week in Lyons, France, to discuss a range of technical issues. You can keep up with what's going on at any social mediat site that uses the hashtage #tpac.
