ITWORLD CANADA CURATED: Can't afford a cellular-connected tablet? That doesn't mean the Wi-Fi version is crippled. Here's 10 tips for maximizing its use

Canada's wireless carriers offer cellular versions of the top-selling tablets -- and are about to be joined by the BlackBerry PlayBook LTE -- but buyers overwhelmingly prefer to buy Wi-Fi models. The main reason is price, even though you sacrifice download speed.

One thing this piece doesn't mention is loading your tablet with PDF-based guides. For example, I've loaded several free photography guides on my tablet, so I can refer to them for tips when I'm on an assignment, or just to brush up on technique when I have spare time.
