The San Jose, Calif.-based hosted services and software-as-a-service provider added Microsoft Corp.’s MS-SQL Server 2005 to its Concentric Windows Pro and Enterprise Plans

Hosted services provider Concentric has announced the general availability of Microsoft Corp.’s SQL Server for its Windows hosting platform in order to help increase customer business productivity, the San Jose, Calif.-based company said.

Microsoft SQL Server is a database platform enabling businesses to build, deploy and manage ASP.NET Web applications. By making available MS-SQL Server, Concentric president Barbara Branaman said the company will “continue to offer our customers elite and affordable services” in order to meet company goals.

The addition of MS-SQL Server completes Concentric’s Windows .NET hosting platform capabilities. The company said that due to security reasons, it doesn’t currently support direct access to the MS SQL Server but does offer “fully functional secure Web-based administrative tools to assist in the development and creation process.”

Specifically, the MS-SQL Server 2005 is included in Concentric Windows Pro and Enterprise Plans (WinProfessional and WinEnterprise).
