IT management software vendor CA announced Monday at the SHARE Conference and Trade Show in San Jose several enhancements to its mainframe management software for the z/OS, z/VSE, and z/VM platforms.

The offerings are either available, or scheduled for short-term release. These include CA SymDump Batch r8 (which will integrate with CA Endevor Software Change Manager), CA Spool r11.5 (which will include IPv6 support and new remote printing support drivers), CA Database Management r11.5 SP2 for DB2® for z/OS (which will help IT managers take control of their DB2 for z/OS), CA Datacom r11 SP4 (which will enable replication of data in near-real-time), CA Endevor SCM r12 SP1(which boasts a simpler installation process), and CA ACF2 r12 and CA Top Secret r12 SP2 (which have boosted security features).

CA Dynam for z/VSE 7.1 will also simplify its tape data set processing standards, while CA VM:Secure r2.8 SP1 and CA VM:Director r2.8 SP1 will have IBM Director integration.
