Seattle-based Azalea Software Inc. is putting its barcode printing tools into Business Objects SA’s Crystal Reports 2008.
Azalea said it partnered with the Paris-based business intelligence (BI) software maker to allow its customers the benefits of seamless barcode printing within Crystal Reports. The company said its barcode software will now let Crystal Reports users create popular barcode types such as UPC, Code 128, Code 39, and POSTNET barcodes with one click.
While Azalea has put its barcode software into previous incarnations of Crystal Reports, this latest partnership has expanded the barcode types available to users.

Crystal Reports, originally created by Vancouver-based Crystal Decisions prior to its purchase by Business Objects, is BI application that can design and generate reports via the Web or embedded in enterprise applications. It allows users to consume visual reports, conduct on-report business modeling, and execute decisions from the report itself.
