Apple-Samsung trial: The end is near

IT WORLD CANADA CURATED: The final summations in this heated three-week trial will be presented this week, after which the jury will have to decide who's right

This week final summations will be heard by a California jury in the three-week patent trial. Then it will be up to the laymen to decide which version of the facts they want to believe.
In this preview of what to expect, SilconValley.com notes that during the trial Apple depicted Samsung as a pirate in the way it replicated the technology in its Galaxy products. Meanwhile Samsung suggested Apple's legal claims are a bid to
squelch competition while accusing Apple of infringing its technology
patents.

Reporters love a winner/loser outcome, but the fact is, as this report points out, the jury could find both companies trampled on each others' patent rights. That would make declaring a victor more difficult.
