ITWORLD CANADA CURATED: Susan Kare has worked for Apple and should know its look, but at a trial she testified iPhones and Samsung devices look confusingly alike

If you're keeping score, Apple picked up a point on Tuesday with the testimony of a graphics designer who has worked for the company as well as for Microsoft. As described in this story, Susan Kare said she couldn't tell the difference between an iPhone and 11 Samsung handsets when shown photos of the devices main screen and standard icons.

Samsung's lawyer tried to show the devices were demonstrably different, booting one of his client's handset up in the courtroom so everyone there could see different opening screens. However, Kare said she hadn't examined that part of the devices' functionality.
