Ambrose to co chair Crossing Boundaries

Federal Environment Minister Rona Ambrose is to be co-chair of the Crossing Boundaries National Council, formed to promote the development of Canada as an information society.

Federal Environment Minister Rona Ambrose is to be co-chair ofthe Crossing Boundaries National Council, formed to promote thedevelopment of Canada as an information society.

Ambrose has been a co-chair of the Council's cross-countryconsultation on federalism, Citizen-Centred Federalism: RethinkingCanada for the Information Age, with John Milloy, ParliamentaryAssistant to the Ontario Intergovernmental Affairs Minister MarieBountrogianni.

As Council co-chair, she replaces Tony Valeri, House leader inthe former Liberal government who lost his Hamilton seat in theJan. 23 federal election.

Ambrose began working with the council in 2003 and became a fullmember last year. Her Council co-chair is Dan Bader, DeputyMinister of Municipal Affairs in Alberta.
