3G wireless trends and developments

3G technologies are offering a wider range of advanced devices and services. Here's a compilation of reports on 3G primers, issues, trends, developments, products, services, opinions, advice and tips

3G is the third generation of mobile phone standards and technology, superseding 2.5G. It is based on the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) family of standards under the IMT-2000[1].

Unilke IEEE 802.11, also known as Wi-Fi or WLAN networks, 3G networks are wide area cellular telephone networks which developed to include high-speed Internet access and video telephony. Other service inlcude video calls and broadband wireless data in a mobile environment.
