10 awesome Word 2013 features

Word 2013 comes with a full line of new and improved features covering document creation, reading, editing and collaboration

Since its first release in 1983, Microsoft Word has evolved and grown into the de facto word processing program for nearly all organizations and individual computer users around the world.

The program’s latest version Word 2013, which comes with the recently released Office 2013, is packed with a full array of new and enhanced features.

Word 2013 offers better PDF control

PCWorld.com reports that functions covering document creation, to reading, editing and collaboration are now simpler to use.

For instance, the new Design tab, which enables users to select text fonts, themes and colour, has consolidated its document styling buttons into a single tab.

Previous versions of Word had these features scattered all over user interface.

Another feature users will likely enjoy is the new Read mode. The feature automatically resizes a document to full screen view. Users can now click on an on-screen arrow to flip through pages are swipe across the screen (if you’re using a touchscreen device) to get to the next page.

When users right click on any word, a definition for that word appears. You can also click on an image or chart to automatically enlarge it.

Having trouble with editing PDFs? Now Word 2013 not only allows users to open a PDF document, it also enables editing them without the need for a third party app. Now, users can change data inside tables and even move images around the document.
