What if your Disaster Recovery Plan were put to the test?

Wednesday July 22, 2015
1:00 pm to 2:00 pm ET

Business today simply does NOT function without the essential underpinning of IT and communications services. Failures with either literally can mean disaster! A study by the Business Continuity Institute found that 74% of organizations view unplanned IT and telecom outages as a top threat to their business. In recent years a number of Canadian businesses have faced this challenge — and failed. Businesses have discovered that they do not have an adequate process to resume business after a natural or man-made disaster. IT leadership at these firms have also discovered how unforgiving customers, executives and shareholders can be about even a small interruption.

Today’s IT dependent businesses stand to lose customers, goodwill and significant amounts of revenue with even a short outage.

The real tragedy is that while the number and magnitude of disasters continues to increase even in Canada — there are more and more ways that disaster recovery is more easily implemented than ever before. There is no excuse for businesses of any size to not be adequately prepared in the event of an emergency situation.

How well would your firm do if your business resumption plan was put to the test? Don’t wait to find out.
