Mid-size cable operators are being offered an integrated solution from two partners that is promised to help them market, sell, provision, deploy, manage and bill digital voice services. SinglePipe Communications, a managed service provider of wholesale digital voice solutions based in Kentucky, and Integrated Broadband Services LLC (IBBS), an Atlanta provider of operational support system software and services for broadband and tier 2 cable operators, today introduced a joint, integrated back office solution for voice, video and data to cable customers. It combines Broadband Explorer, IBBS’ diagnostics and provisioning software, with the SinglePipe Integrated Provisioning System Platform (SIPS) for Digital Voice.
"IBBS and SinglePipe maintain a shared vision of providing tier-2 cable operators with the tools they need to deliver comprehensive, cost-effective, quality wholesale digital voice solutions," Matt Phillips, CEO of SinglePipe Communications said in a release. The integrated solution "all but eliminates the complexities inherent in typical rollouts, and reduces both the time and expense of deploying and maintaining the necessary components to get services to market faster without compromising on quality, flexibility or control."
SinglePipe enables broadband and cable operators to launch customizable and scalable digital phone services. IBBS provides OSS software and services to more than 200 cable operators worldwide. Last year IBBS bought Vancouver-based Parasun Technologies, a maker of broadband provisioning and management software. "This integration will provide tier-2 cable operators with the means to provide customers with the highest lever of service, without unnecessary cost and back-end complexity," said IBBS chief executive officer Dave Keil.
