Look continues to bleed red

Internet and wireless TV provider Look Communications, which is trying to sell its assets, continues to bleed red ink. The Markham, Ont., company,  with some 30,000 subscribers in Ontario and Quebec, posted a $2.7 million loss in the quarter ending Nov. 30, 2008. That compared to $2.4 million loss for the same three-month period in 2007. Service and sales revenue from continuing operations for the quarter was $3.6 million compared to $4.5 million for the quarter ended Nov. 30, 2007. EBITDA (earnings from continuing operations before interest expenses, income taxes, depreciation and amortization, and gain (loss) on disposition of property and equipment) for the recent quarter was negative $1.4 million. Potential asset buyers have until Feb. 16 to submit offers on the company's subscribers, network, wireless spectrum and tax losses.
