Vircom Inc., a Montreal-based anti-spam vendor, has released its Modus 4.7 e-mail security software.
It includes integration with PGP Corp.’s Universal Gateway and
includes white lists, which the vendor claims will send replies to
users’ inboxes without delay.
Also new to version 4.7 is bounced address tag validation, which
lets administrators determine which bounces are legitimate, and if not,
how they are handled. The intent is to prevent infinite spam loops.
The sieve scripting engine is designed to handle spam in foreign languages by recognizing UTF-8 characters.
A trial version of modus 4.7 can be downloaded from this link.
