BitDefender LLC of Bucharest, Romania announced software designed to counter the latest version of Conficker worm, also known as Downadup.
A beta version of Downadup Removal tool can be downloaded from this Web site.
The most recent version, dubbed Win32.Worm.Downadup.C, is spread using a vulnerability in Windows RPC Server and described in Microsoft Corp.’s security bulletin MS08-067.
